Description
Quick and easy air fryer beef tacos with crispy tortillas and customizable toppings. Perfect for a fast and delicious weeknight meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning (store bought or homemade)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 cup water
- 12 small corn or flour tortillas
- Shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or your favorite blend)
- Toppings of your choice: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, chopped onions, cilantro, etc.
Instructions
- 1. Prepare the Beef: In a large skillet or pot, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- 2. Season the Beef: Add the taco seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and water to the cooked beef. Stir well to combine. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the water has evaporated and the beef is nicely coated with the seasoning.
- 3. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- 4. Assemble the Tacos: Warm each tortilla slightly, either in a dry skillet or in the microwave for a few seconds. Fill each tortilla with a generous spoonful of seasoned beef. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- 5. Air Fry the Tacos: Gently place the tacos in the air fryer basket in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd. You may need to cook in batches.
- 6. Cook the Tacos: Air fry for 3-5 minutes, or until the tortillas are lightly golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 7. Serve: Carefully remove the air fryer beef tacos from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving plate. Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
