  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 corn or flour tortillas, warmed
  • Shredded lettuce, for topping
  • Diced tomatoes, for topping
  • Shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or your favorite), for topping
  • Sour cream or Mexican crema, for topping
  • Salsa or hot sauce, for topping
  • Diced avocado, for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cubed chicken with olive oil, taco seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Place the seasoned chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket, being careful not to overcrowd it. You may need to cook the chicken in batches.
  3. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  4. While the chicken is cooking, warm the tortillas according to package directions.
  5. Fill each warmed tortilla with the air fried chicken. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, and diced avocado, or whatever toppings you prefer.
