- 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 corn or flour tortillas, warmed
- Shredded lettuce, for topping
- Diced tomatoes, for topping
- Shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or your favorite), for topping
- Sour cream or Mexican crema, for topping
- Salsa or hot sauce, for topping
- Diced avocado, for topping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the cubed chicken with olive oil, taco seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Place the seasoned chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket, being careful not to overcrowd it. You may need to cook the chicken in batches.
- Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- While the chicken is cooking, warm the tortillas according to package directions.
- Fill each warmed tortilla with the air fried chicken. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, and diced avocado, or whatever toppings you prefer.
