Description
Quick and easy air fryer turkey tacos with crispy tortillas and flavorful turkey filling. Perfect for busy weeknights!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 8 small corn or flour tortillas
- Shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or your favorite)
- Toppings of your choice: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, etc.
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes, then add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- add the ground turkey to the skillet and break it up with a spoon. Cook until the turkey is browned, about 7-8 minutes, draining any excess grease.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the liquid has reduced and the turkey is coated in the seasoning. Stir in the chopped cilantro.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Sprinkle a little cheese on one half of each tortilla. Add a few tablespoons of the turkey filling on top of the cheese. Fold the tortilla in half.
- Place the filled tacos in the air fryer basket in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd. You may need to cook them in batches.
- Air fry for 3-5 minutes, or until the tortillas are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the air fryer turkey tacos from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
