  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • **For the Glaze:**
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 3 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract and lemon zest.
  5. In a small bowl, combine sour cream and milk.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, alternating with sour cream mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Beat until just combined.
  7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 55 65 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Prepare glaze by whisking together powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth.
  11. Pour glaze over loaf, letting it drip down the sides. Let glaze set before slicing.
