- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (or maple syrup for refined sugar-free)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice

- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons gluten-free cornstarch (or tapioca starch)
- 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour blend (with xanthan gum)
- 1/2 cup rolled oats (use certified gluten-free if needed)
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine mixed fruit, sugar (or maple syrup), lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and gluten-free cornstarch. Toss gently.
- Pour fruit filling into the baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Cut in cold butter using a pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle crumble topping evenly over the fruit filling.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
- Cool slightly before serving.
