- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually stir in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
