Quick and easy skillet turkey wraps packed with flavor! Ground turkey, veggies, cheese, and salsa all wrapped in crispy tortillas for a satisfying weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper (any color)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice (optional, for added texture)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup salsa (your favorite kind)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • Cooking spray or olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper; cook until softened (5 minutes).
  2. Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it up, until browned. Drain any grease.
  3. Stir in garlic, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne (optional), salt, and pepper. Cook 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in rice (optional), cheddar cheese, salsa, and cilantro. Cook until cheese is melted and combined.
  5. Warm a skillet over medium heat. Spray/brush one side of each tortilla with cooking spray or oil.
  6. Place tortilla in the skillet, oiled side DOWN. Spoon 1/6 of filling onto the tortilla. Fold in sides, then roll tightly.
  7. Cook 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove and serve hot!
