- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon milk
- Optional: edible flowers or sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg yolks and vanilla.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Roll out dough to ¼ inch thickness and cut out shapes.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool completely.
- Whisk together powdered sugar, lemon juice, and milk for the glaze.
- Dip cookies in glaze and decorate. Let the glaze set before serving.
