- 1 pound cod fillets, skinless and boneless, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup sliced carrots
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 pound pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or fettuccine)
- Salt, for pasta water
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- 1. In a medium bowl, combine the cod pieces with soy sauce, cornstarch, ginger, and minced garlic. Toss to coat evenly. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- 2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, water, and cornstarch. Set aside.
- 4. Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat. Add the bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes, until crisp tender. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger and stir fry for another minute until fragrant.
- 5. Add the marinated cod to the wok and stir fry until cooked through and flaky, about 3-5 minutes. Be careful not to overcook the cod!
- 6. Pour the sauce over the cod and vegetables. Bring to a simmer and cook until the sauce has thickened, about 1-2 minutes.
- 7. Add the cooked pasta to the wok and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
- 8. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired. Serve immediately.
